![]() ![]() Ever the outdoor enthusiast, he grew up hunting and his favorite retirement activity was fishing, and he would load up his “fishing” car and go meet his buddies at the local fishing holes. He played football for Wheeling Central Catholic High School and later became known throughout the region for his fast pitch baseball, wicked left-handed, underhand pitching skills. He was also a lifelong member of the PAP Club and the IOLA Club and there along with several local restaurants would gather a group of friends to listen to him, as the master storyteller, spin his yarns. Charlie was raised in South Wheeling in a strong Catholic family and was always ready to help not only family and friends, but even strangers in need. Charlie also served his country in the Korean War. He was active throughout his life in local and national politics and continued working election campaigns throughout his retirement. ![]() Charlie was a long-time union member and retired as the Business Agent for Laborers Local 1149, Wheeling. O’Kelley and former wife Susan (Caldwell) Biery. He was also preceded by grandson Robert A. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Shepherd) Vidonic. He was the son of George and Mary (Dantrassy) Vidonic. ![]() Vidonic, 90, of Belmont, Ohio passed away Friday, Februat Wheeling Hospital. ![]()
